A landmark Cooperation Agreement aimed at creating institutionalized and long-term relationships between Indian and Italian shoe manufacturers of Chennai in Tamil Nadu and the Marche region of Italy has been signed in Chennai during Oct ‘07 in pursuance of the ongoing Italian programme.
UNIONCAMERE Marche and Indian Shoe Federation (ISF) signed the agreement that benefits both the associations. UNIONCAMERE Marche will implement the programme in collaboration with CONFINDUSTRIA Marche, both representing apex chambers of commerce and industrial Associations of Marche.

In pursuance of the above agreement, first phase of training in 'Manufacturing' by Italian experts to twenty five Indian shoe manufacturers in the vicinity of Chennai, Ambur & Ranipet is being implemented.
Qualified trainees of this course will be taken to Italy for 'hands on expertise' training (fifteen days) in the workshops of Italian shoe manufacturers during September / October '08.
